Although there are lots of places to stay in Beaufort County South Carolina we prefer the Bed and Breakfasts in the National Historic Landmark District. My two favorites are the Rhett House Inn and the Two Suns Inn. Both of these are places to enjoy great food and Southern hospitality. You are also treated to lavish luxury and pampering during your stay.

Two Suns Inn

At the Rhett House, you are surrounded by some beautiful antiques and you are within easy walking distance of many popular sights in Beaufort South Carolina. In addition to a fantastic morning feast, you are provided afternoon tea and pastries and decadent homemade desserts are on the table every night.

The Two Suns Inn is an idyllic romantic getaway and this B&B even has its own French chef who can prepare some amazing specialties in the blink of an eye. The homey rooms and incredible views of the bay make your stay peaceful and relaxing unlike the hotels in Beaufort.

You might also try the Beaufort Inn. This is a charming overnight stay with historic architecture. Often times when a movie is being filmed in Beaufort County South Carolina, the movie star will stay here. The Beaufort Inn is also one of the larger inns in the Historical District.

Another top choice for lodging In the city of Beaufort South Carolina is the Cuthbert House Inn. Even if you cannot make it an overnight stay, you should at least visit the Cuthbert House because it is a true Southern Antebellum mansion that is more than 200 years old.

The sweeping staircase and huge columns take you back through time and the rooms are absolutely enchanting. The Intercoastal Waterway can easily be seen and the ocean breezes are so very refreshing. Guests are treated like long lost family members and you can always use the loaner bikes to travel about town.

Hotels in Beaufort do not offer the unique lodging alternative like Bed and Breakfasts in Beaufort South Carolina. Staying in the heart of the Historical District is an experience you will enjoy; also being just steps away from the remarkable shops and restaurants is a real delight.
