The waters around Hilton Head are full of wildlife and scenic nature which kayaking will get you close to. This is one of the more enjoyable activities Hilton Head Island has to offer. It's a great adventure outdoors for everyone.
Finding a tour guide for kayaking Hilton Head is easy but the one I highly recommend is Outside Hilton Head. Why? Kayaking Hilton Head is fabulous and planning a Hilton Head kayaking trip for you and your family should also be fabulous.
Outside Hilton Head has an awesome friendly and knowledgeable staff that will provide a memorable experience. We have used them for many, many years and have nothing but good experiences to talk about.
They are good with kids and very patient with those less talented at kayaking. (Like me!)
Outside Hilton Head is an ecologically sensitive company. Below is a description of the tours they offer.

Another one of Hilton Head Island activities you may enjoy is a 4 1/2 hour scenic boat cruise and kayak tour through the neighboring island creeks. Kayaking the outback is an incredible experience. How about some Kayak fishing for Redfish? Kayaking is a great way to fish and gives you a way to maneuver through the marshes. Using a kayak can get you into the coves and inlets you otherwise couldn't reach. Outside Hilton Head is one of the first companies in North America to be running guided kayak fishing tours. They equip you with a special fishing kayak and show you all the hot spots to fish. 3 hours $125 per person. 3 person maximum per trip.
Why not spend some time learning how to maneuver a kayak? Try taking some classes at Outside Hilton Head kayaking camp. Learning a few steering, paddling and safety skills will improve the enjoyment you can get out your kayaking adventures. Check into receiving some lessons. The pay off on the water will be worth it. Activities Hilton Head Island has to offer are numerous but check this one out for the teens..

Full Moon and Kayaking
The tides are affected by the phases of the moon due to gravitational pull between the sun, moon, and earth.
When there is a full moon, the high tides are very high and the low tides are very low.
Waters that may be normally fine for kayaking may not be suitable during the full moon phase because the levels will be too low.
Kayaking Hilton Head waters may be treacherous during the full moon due to low water levels.
