Arthur Hills at Palmetto Hall: Perhaps you are looking for something grand and beautiful in a Hilton Head Island golf course you plan to visit. Palmetto Hall Plantation Club may be an ideal choice. Here, there are 36 holes on what has to be considered the traditional Southern plantation. The course was designed by Arthur Hills and Robert Cupp. Hilton Head Island golf courses like this one are some of the most sought after because of their style and rustic charm.

Country Club of Hilton Head: Another option with Hilton Head Island golf courses is the Country Club of Hilton Head, located on Skull Creek Drive. This course was designed by Rees Jones. It was used as a qualifying golf course for the 1999 and 2005 U. S. Opens. There are some hidden challenges here and there is no doubt that this location is beautiful. Old South Golf Course: Just outside of Hilton Head in Bluffton is Old South Golf Course, a beautiful, picturesque golf course you may want to visit often. Throughout the area, you will find low country marshes, but also a true champion style course. This Hilton Head Island golf course is open to the public every day of the week. It is a four star property.

Robert Trent Jones at Palmetto Dunes: You likely know the name of this golf course. In 2003, this Hilton Head golf course was named the Golf Course of the Year. The course is wide open, and there is no doubt you may pick up a nice breeze. You will have to book in advance of your trip, up to 90 days out, since this is one of the most sought after Hilton Head golf courses and is in high demand.

Any and all of these Hilton Head Island golf courses are worthwhile to visit. There is little doubt you will want to do anything else once you arrive, after all you are visiting "The Golf Island".

Hilton Head Golf Tips

Most of the courses charge more in the morning than in the afternoon. In the hot summer months the rates are typically lower overall. Blue jeans, jogging shirts and shorts are not permitted. Men's shirt with a collar is required.
